  • Assist in the training and development of new to-site employees, ensuring an understanding of driver awareness
  • Maintaining all specified road speeds and priority rules when driving on site and transporting the trucks into the workshop for scheduled or emergency maintenance, ensure all daily operational KPI targets were being met safely and within the specified KPI timeframes
  • Conducting daily machinery pre-starts including 360-degree checks, identifying and reporting any maintenance issues, refuelling, performing minor mechanical repairs and reporting major issues directly to management, tagging out vehicles as required

  • Communicate effectively using 2-way radio with all SIMOPS when reversing to the Dig Units and Loaders and working within the pit, driving to conditions on haul roads as per traffic management plans, complying with priority rules and emergency procedures, negotiating ramps in and out of open pits with varying slopes on both night and day shift and within various weather conditions where the line of sight was limited
  • Completing overburden removal, highwall bench loading and hauling to low-wall and in pit dumps
  • Ensure all daily operational KPI targets are being met safely and efficiently, are environmentally compliant and within the specified project timeframes, ensuring all load sheets and relevant paperwork are completed and handed in at the end of the shift
