Hardworking and adaptable professional with a strong eye for detail and a practical approach to problem-solving. I take pride in learning new skills, tackling challenges head-on, and always looking for ways to improve. In my latest position, I assisted in the design and delivery of the critical infrastructure for large scale data centre project. Ensuring multidisciplinary coordination site wide, efficient design of all underground utilities such as drainage, electrical and pressure networks and the design of surfaces, hardscaping and roads
I also conducted detailed site feasibility assessments on land parcels before the clients procurement, assessing data to masterplan the site and plan for constructibility.
Due to the projects being scattered across Northern Europe I had to adapt and design to multiple varying regulations, ensuring compliance, health and safety throughout the projects lifecycle.
I was also tasked to give any onsite guidance and answer any RFIs that may appear on site using engineering knowledge and judgement
My role involved more then just the design of these projects but also conducting designers risk assessments, managing time and fees spent on the project and managing resources to ensure an on time and efficient delivery
At this stage of my career I assisted In the design of both substructure and superstructure design. Analysing Site investigation reports and estimated loading to identify and design the correct foundation type. The Superstructure design of different types of frames (reinforced concrete, steel and timber).
My role eventually became more then just the design of these structures but became more managerial for instance, I was tasked with managing budgets, fee proposals, managing resources on the project and more.
Working alongside my studies. My duties as a high end kitchen fitter was removing, clearing and fitting of the kitchen units, existing and new. Assisting with the installation of new kitchen appliances.
This experience helped me develop practical carpentry skills, reading detailed drawings and developed a strong work ethic.
During the my summer holiday from College, I applied for a position to work for the facilities and maintenance team for the college, in the hopes that this would develop my practical engineering and problem solving skills.
I was put on a project to refurbish the college library, this meant the painting, installing new units, working with electricians to ensure appliances had the required electrical services. Due to this being in the summer holidays, I worked efficiently and to tight deadlines.
