‘Out Of This World’ exhibition by Platform Exhibition
‘Convergence’ by Kimiko Wu, Dan Go and Katrina Kan (collectively @by.third.party) naively delves into the tangled relationship between beauty and ugliness through an exploration of human-AI collaboration.
The creative process of “Convergence” unfolds as a continual exchange of ideas between the artists and the AI. The artists initially handcrafted a prototype dress, photographing it to feed into an image generator to interpret. The output generated by the AI was subsequently reinterpreted by the artists, setting off a cycle of continuous iterations. This process persisted until the once disparate ideas from both human and machine melded into a single cohesive output.
