Summary

Accomplished Sonographer with a distinguished career as an autonomous practitioner in South Metropolitan Health Service for the last 8 years. I am confident in performing a range of examinations across general, obstetric, vascular, pediatric and gynecological ultrasound. I thoroughly enjoy the teaching aspect of my role and am dedicated to guiding and supporting trainees through their clinical training. I carry my work out to the highest standard and have a thorough knowledge of both pathology and departmental procedures surrounding my scans. I remain empathetic to patient care at all times and excel in patient communication.

I actively contributed to professional development through attendance and contribution in both national, state and local events. Working in a large tertiary hospital as part of the multidisciplinary team is something I take professional pride in and I make sure to maintain good communication whilst doing so.

Clinical Tutor Sonographer

  • Responsible for teaching entry-grade student sonographers how to perform and produce diagnostic ultrasound scans within a large tertiary hospital.
  • Scanning alongside student sonographers to teach them probe dexterity, departmental scanning protocols and how to operate Toshiba and GE ultrasound equipment.
  • Conduct individual tutoring sessions with students to help them improve their knowledge surrounding pathology and image optimisation.
  • Provided comprehensive feedback on student progress, including areas for improvement and successes.
