I was asked to assist on a part-time basis as a Care Coordinator to help bring The Italian Village out of sanction, along with the new Director of Nursing.
Acted as the administrator at the facility level, as required by the accreditors, and successfully brought the Italian Village out of sanction by February 2019.
Continued to work part-time as a Care Coordinator to assist the facility in transitioning to the new standards and to accreditation.
This was successful, and a year’s accreditation was achieved in September 2019.
Assisted with the transition of a new FM and Care Coordinator in May 2020, before leaving to achieve a family balance.
During this time, the facility upgraded to a new version of ICare and archived every care plan.
All care plans had to be redone from scratch in one month, ready for accreditation, and to ensure staff were aware of care needs.
