Kobe Burns

As a Delivery Truck Driver i am responsible for safely operating a vehicle over 3.2m tall and 4.5 tonne 9+ hours per day, my tasks include;

- Performing a daily pre work safety check on my vehicle, checking all instruments such as lights, tires, brakes, horn are in working order and reporting any faults immediately to management.

- Preparing my daily load making sure it is fit to standard in the cargo area of the truck to avoid any spills, breaks or other hazards.

- Making multi-stop deliveries within tight windows whilst following all road rules and being mindful of other users of the roads.

- Lifting 20kg boxes and crates using proper lifting techniques to avoid any unnecessary injuries.

- Constant use of mobile scanning device as well as daily paperwork detailing the events of the day, reporting any incidents to my manager.

During my time as an in store team member i was responsible for leading the Fresh Produce department afternoon shift from 2pm-10pm and my tasks included;

-Following all safety protocols within the department which involved hazardous cleaning materials and sharp working instruments (knives ect.)

-Organising stock to the specifications detailed by my team leader.

- Balancing a tight schedule whilst both providing customer service and working independently.

- Memorizing stock orders for following days to give customers information on when their desired stock may become available.
