I have completed placements at opal nursing home, Blacktown as a student AIN. As a highly motivated, enthusiastic student AIN; I am currently looking for an opportunity to work as an AIN/PCA where I can utilize my skills and acquire knowledge across the nursing care continue.

• HLTAID003- Provide First Aid
• Manual handling training

• Assisting to lift, turn, shower and bathe patients
• Assist with dressing, eating, and mobilization of patients
• Make sure that the clients have a clean supply of clothing, linen and clean all solid items
• Observe and report any changes of the patient’s condition
• Other duties as directed by the Nurse in Charge that are within my scope of practice
• Upholds standards of care relevant to the unit under the guidance of the nursing divisions
• Ensures adherence to the organizations policy and procedure and relevant legislation, statutory requirements, and common law affecting clinical practice

• Providing basic personal care while assisting with clinical care
• Assisting residents with mobility equipment, helping with food and fluids, maximizing a resident's physical function through rehabilitation and maintaining domestic aged care arrangements
• Observing residents around or behavioural changes and document and report changes
• Ensuring the completion of all allocated responsibilities and tasks
• Ensure a high standard of care, customer service and a culture that represents the mission and values of the home
• Providing support in the orientation of new employees and agency staff as appropriate
• Participating in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement activities
