I currently work on 2D/CCU at Wyong Hospital. As a highly skilled nurse with more than 20yrs experience in Cardiac nursing, I am adept in patient care education and assessment. I am an excellent leader able to observe and guide all levels of staff to better manage their care to provide greater outcomes for all patients. I excel at:

  • Monitoring telemetry and patient conditions and able to respond to changing situations.
  • Mange acute needs of patients including Bipap, infusions only administered in acute care environments and competent in invasive monitoring of acute care patients.
  • Manage acute care interhosiptal transfers with clinically unstable cardiac patients.
  • Preceptor for new staff and new graduate nurses. I am also an Assessor, a resource for staff to gain assessments and competencies.
  • Procedural Conscious Sedation to assist with TOE procedures.
  • Educating patients and families about current conditions, treatment options and management.
  • Assist Patients in all areas of personal care and to respond to increased needs of the patient.
  • Treating the patient holistically.
  • Communicate within the multidisplanary team to advocate for the patient ultimately improving outcomes for the patient.

I am a resource for all staff, able to approach and answer any of their concerns and educate them on better practice. I have a solid educational foundation and a passion to ultimately improve patient knowledge and care and a greater understanding of the management of their condition, this leading to overall improvements in patient health outcomes.
