· Worked with staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the day to day running of the centre in accordance to my centre's policies and procedures.
· Contributed to and assisted in the development and/or evaluation of the programme.
· Assisted staff in the daily routine of appropriate early childhood education and experiences.
· Positively interacted with all children, nurturing their confidence and self-esteem giving each child individual attention and comfort throughout the day,
· Assisted in planning for the ongoing development of each individual child (this also includes maintaining up to date observations and portfolios for the child).

2018-2022 Paramount Youth Services
Tasks: YOUTH WORKER
· Ability to work in many roles and services in the Child Protection Out of Home Care such as family contact supervision, emergency respite care transportation and crisis emergency respite care supervision in a residential setting.
· Experience in mentoring children in a one to one setting environment or multiple children in a residential environment by making them feel safe and comfortable, ability to create a trust and bond between child, using excellent communication skills and having good sense of humour.
· Creating mentoring plans and recommendations with NSW child protection caseworkers in forming the best outcome for the child in care so they could achieve their goals.
· Can provide expertise and knowledge in producing high quality incident reports, child protection helpline reports, family contact supervision reports and residential shift reports.
· I have a wealth of experience in working with children who are from diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic status such as culturally and linguistically diverse children and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
· Confidence and experience in assisting children who have experienced the most severe cases of trauma, abuse and neglect.
· Can support children in helping them gain independent living and life skills, mentoring them for life and educational purposes as well as helping to assist them to integrate into the community.
· I can offer vital experience in dealing and working with children daily who are classified as the highest risk, extremely violent, had drug/alcohol abuse and have experienced being in the juvenile justice system.
· Ability to practically apply Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training in a residential setting on a daily basis by applying crisis prevention and intervention techniques and teaching young children ways to regulate feelings, handle a crisis and return back to baseline/recovery phase.
· Can effectively and respectively work in a team environment with other staff and professionals and be open minded to interventions and approaches suggested by other staff towards creating better outcomes for children.
· Experience in being a part of a small and hand chosen specialist team at Paramount Youth Services by flying out by plane and working with vulnerable/high risk children in the Northern New South Wales region and collaborating with NNSW child protection caseworkers.
· Thorough knowledge and understanding of current NSW child protection legislation, NSW Child Safe Standards for Permanent Care, UN convention on the rights of a child and the Charter of rights for ages 7-12 and 13-17.
