Supporting the efficient and effective day-day operations of
recruitment activities of SMOs within NBMLHD. This will
include regular communication with managers and
employees over multiple sites in relation to recruitment
requests.
Preparation of permanent and temporary employment contracts, and
contract amendments for SMPs, including Staff Specialists, Visiting
Medical Officers (VMOs), Visiting Dental Officers (VDOs), Clinical
Academics, Honorary Medical Officers (HMOs), Post
Graduate Fellows
(PGF), Observers, in a timely manner.
Coordinating all functions associated with appointment of new
employees to the LHD on behalf of the customer in order to maintain
accurate and timely service and provide value added services to
respective customers of the LHD.
Processing reclassification notifications and liaising with Health Share
to ensure the accuracy of data being changed on HRIS.
Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant awards and recruitment
related legislation including NSW MoH and HealthShare publications Ongoing maintenance of the e-recruitment system to support the. recruitment function within NBMLHD
Assist in preparation of MDAAC associated papers (including checking mandatory documentation).
Distribution of the employment contracts to the successful applicant/s together with the New Starter Pack and/or relevant appointment and documents.
Preparation of Unsuccessful and Eligibility letters.
Providing advice and general consultancy service on
recruitment/transaction matters pertaining to procedural issues
Assisting in developing, implementing and maintaining
recruitment/transaction procedures to best practice, both in terms of
utilisation of Human Resources and HRIS
Assisting in the ongoing training of new managers in the use of an e-
recruitment system
Provide assistance in the maintenance of positions an structures within
StaffLink including ANZSCO and Premier Workforce Codes
Create drafts and final formatting of reports and presentations for
presentation to facilities and LHD Executives
Co-ordinate checks and provision of documentary evidence for
employment, ensuring necessary compliance checks are completed
prior to commencement of duties for all new appointees
Ensure new employees have met mandatory employment
(credentialing) requirements eg. National Criminal Record Check,
Working with Children Check, Proof of identity, Registration and Visa
etc.
Work with Staff Health to ensure new and current SMOs have met
mandatory Vaccination requirements prior to commencement with the
LHD.
Data entry of all medical officer details in the Medical Workforce
Database
Processing of visa and registration for International Medical Graduates
(IMGs) employed in a timely manner
Review Medical Registration Checks advising of expiration for SMPs
as requested.
Review Visa Status Checks advising of expiration for SMPs as
requested.
Preparation of any correspondence/forms required for
Immigration/AHPRA in relation to IMGs regarding visa or registration
Preparation of documentation for Medical Observers
