2023 SANFL Teacher of the Year
The SANFL recognised the AFL program that I implemented into the Clare High School curriculum and nominated me for the 2023 SANFL Teacher of the Year. This title was awarded to me over 9 other male teachers within SA. To achieve this award I held a camp involving meeting and touring the the 2 SA AFL teams the Adelaide Crows and Port Power facilities. We spoke with both of the teams players and coaches also getting a guided tour of their facilities and interacting with current players. I implemented all new theory curriculum and composed new thoery assignments. I then presented this new curriculum and spoke about its success's to new and inspiring young teachers. Students were also put through their Foundation Umpiring Course.
