In a de-facto relationship with two children and living in my own accommodation in Weipa. I was born and raised here and enjoy all that Weipa offers me, including my favorite sports of fishing and hunting. I believe myself to be an extremely hard working conscientious person with a personality which allows me to get along well with all manner of people. Along with my technical skills I bring a willingness to learn any new skills in team collaboration, adaptable to changing needs, and focused on achieving impactful results. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, ensuring reliable support and effective teamwork, passing on and sharing my skills with others as I appreciate working in a team atmosphere, Professional, experienced, and ready to contribute in more than just a volunteer capacity and make this my career.

  • Since 2009 I have been employed by Rio Tinto as a Mine Operator and then onto Plant Operator at the Andoom Mine
  • Whilst at Rio Tinto I have also had the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time running the Andoom Benefication Plant
  • These duties included, but are not limited to, changing out trammel screens, dewatering screens and maintaining pumps and conveyor rollers

  • During this time I also spent several weeks working under the direction of Scott Tass in Building Services completing various carpentry repairs and installations around the Rio Tinto Weipa Site
  • My tasks during this time include but are not limited to: Various carpentry work, Ordering and compiling materials for jobs, Delivery of material to various sites, Liaise with other trades professionals to complete works, Ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed prior to work beginning, including JSA's, Take 5 and any required specific permits
