I was born and raised here and enjoy all that Weipa offers me, including my favorite sports of fishing and hunting. - Since 2009 I have been employed by Rio Tinto as a Mine Operator and then onto Plant Operator at the Andoom Mine
- Whilst at Rio Tinto I have also had the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time running the Andoom Benefication Plant
- These duties included, but are not limited to, changing out trammel screens, dewatering screens and maintaining pumps and conveyor rollers

- My tasks during this time include but are not limited to: Various carpentry work, Ordering and compiling materials for jobs, Delivery of material to various sites, Liaise with other trades professionals to complete works, Ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed prior to work beginning, including JSA's, Take 5 and any required specific permits
