Summary

I am writing to express my keen interest in joining the Australian army as a first-year Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice. My name is Kydyn Macquinto, Im 17-years-old and just recently dropped out of year 12, I am eager to prove my dedication, passion, and commitment in gaining valuable experience in this role as I have always been very interested in joining the defence force and have always wanted to be a heavy diesel mechanic following the steps of my grandfather. Currently I am working as a part time warehouse worker at Kmart but am prepared to let go of that employment if i am accepted.

Having worked as an Auto Electrician, I have gained valuable hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems in vehicles. This background has provided me with a basic mechanical understanding with a wide range of vehicles.

My time as a Warehouse Worker has allowed me to develop essential skills in inventory management, organization, and equipment operation. These skills have prepared me to handle various automotive tools and machinery efficiently, enabling me to adapt quickly to the tasks required in an automotive repair shop.

My combined experiences as an Auto Electrician and Warehouse Worker have equipped me with a diverse skill set that aligns perfectly with the requirements of a Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice. I am confident that my practical knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to excellence make me the ideal candidate to embark on this apprenticeship journey and contribute significantly.
