I was employed as a carpenter, quickly was pushed into a foreman role due to other employees moving on. thrown into running a whole estate of townhouses with only my past experience to fall back on. I made many mistakes but learned quickly from them. In 12 months I was confidently running my sites. Since then I have continued to grow, now having overseen 150+ houses across all stages of the build.
I have been very flexible with my current employer, being moved to multiple estates to plug holes and to get jobs moving.

During my apprenticeship I worked on multi-million dollar commercial builds, being exposed to all different building techniques from jump forms to sheet piling and everything in between. I also gained a great work ethic from the older more experienced foreman, which I carry with me today.
Laid off at the onset of COVID-19 due to the commercial building market's reaction, I had a great apprenticeship and set me up for success in my future.
