Dynamic Lubrication Technician with proven expertise at BHP in equipment maintenance and hydraulic systems. Recognized for exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to safety compliance. Adept at conducting preventive maintenance and fostering team collaboration, ensuring optimal machinery performance and reliability in high-demand environments. Young and hard-working I’m ready to step into any role.
In my role as a Lube Technician at BHP, I am responsible for maintaining a wide range of equipment that operates using lubrication systems, including bearings, hydraulic systems, and associated machinery. I carry out routine servicing to ensure equipment reliability and performance, while identifying potential faults and maintenance requirements. Through this hands-on experience, I have developed a strong understanding of equipment operation and maintenance, as well as solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a high-demand work environment.
Skilled I learnt:
Before being employed to BHP, I was a contractor for the lubrication department and was told by my supervisor to hat I was the perfect worker to a shirt from BHP for my hard work dedication to my job that I enjoy doing. my job hasn’t changed since being with BHP and is the same as being contracting.
At the Town of Port Hedland, I worked as a Casual Senior Lifeguard across both South Hedland and Port Hedland aquatic centres. In this role, I was responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons by actively supervising the pool environment and enforcing facility rules. I maintained pool operations, including water quality and chemical handling, and responded promptly to emergency situations by providing first aid and water rescues when required. This role strengthened my ability to stay alert, make quick decisions, and perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
At Odyssey Marine, I completed a School-Based Traineeship (SBT) where I worked alongside experienced full-time staff to develop practical maritime skills. During this time, I successfully obtained my Coxswain Grade 1 Inshore qualification, allowing me to operate vessels up to 12 metres in length. The traineeship provided valuable exposure to a professional work environment, helping me build strong workplace habits, technical skills, and a solid understanding of marine operations that I can apply across a range of industries.
