09.2019 - Current
  • Provided a safe and stimulating learning environment for young children.
  • Developed age-appropriate activities to encourage physical, social and cognitive development of children actively reflected by the Early Years Learning Framework v2.0 (EYLF), placing an emphasis on children gaining a sense of belonging, being and becoming.
  • Maintained accurate records of focus children's progress including termly observations, developmental summary and follow up planned experiences. Daily group time planned focus learning experiences for my focus group.
  • Attended team/staff meetings and Professional development days with other educators in order to share best practices or discuss any issues related to the Shore school and particularly the ELC.
  • Collaborated with parents to develop and maintain strong support networks and build rapport to foster seamless communication.
  • Implemented the Pre-Lit program. Pre-Lit is a systematic, skills-based program that lays a sound foundation for children to learn to read. Using this tool I taught pre-literacy skills and concepts in a fun and engaging way, focusing on phonological awareness and oral language development through structured storybook reading.
  • Implemented planned URSTRONG "Friendology" (friendship strategy & friendship skills curriculum) lessons.
  • Successfully completed my NESA Proficient Teacher level status at the Shore ELC.
