To whom it may concern, I am ready to keep my career moving and climb the retail ladder! My name is Louie-Anne I am interested in furthering my employment to gain more experience within the field of Customer Service – L&D Coordinator/Trainer. I believe my experience throughout my career has given me the knowledge and understanding to excel in my field of Customer Service and Trainer.
During my time at Travel Money Oz I was the Team Leader at the Strathfield store before opening a brand-new store in Burwood. In this time, I learnt several aspects within the business such as the 64 different currencies bought and sold within Australia and knowing which currencies are used throughout the world i.e. Euro is used in most of Europe. A major part of being a Foreign Currency expert was assisting customers in budgeting their holiday, using the tools and product knowledge to provide a One-Stop Shop experience by offering cash, currency card and travel accessories.
My position as Assistant Store Manager at Bonds has given me the experiences necessary to run a retail store from open to closing including assigning roles to my fellow employees, keeping up with KPIs, motivating the team whilst giving 110% and keeping the store operational without any issues or errors.
While working through the busiest times in a retail sector, being Christmas, major store sales and seasonal change-over, I’ve learnt to multi-task and time-manage to a deadline, reach our daily/weekly/monthly quotas and to have a keen eye for visual merchandising. Pulling together my experiences and training from Gymboree and Victoria Secret as Assistant Manager/Supervisor has given me a major advantage on taking on the challenging position as Assistant Store Manager at Bonds.
Having worked at Toys R Us for the past 10 years, I believe that I have achieved a level of customer service that will benefit your company with my employment. While working at Toys R US for the past 10 years my technological skills have improved dramatically due to using the record and order system to check stock, availability, price, and convey a baby registry. I developed these skills while working in different departments such as Rzone (electronics), Babies R Us, Ticket, registers/admin and Lay By. A lot of my day is filled with money handling, front desk duties such as customer complaint handling, answering phone calls on a multipurpose phone and directing them to specific departments.
