I have completed my Qualifications as a Licenced "Black" Referee. This qualifies me to Referee Full-Feild Soccer Games across Sydney.

I have represented the SSFRA as a Line Referee on numerous occasions, for B grade Ladies and Mens games, along with refereeing matches for seniors, juniors and Representative matches.

This role is an important function for the running of any soccer match. In order to be a qualified Referee you must hold many qualities and be tested on these, along with undertaking an extensive online training course.

A "Black" Referee must hold authority and not "doubt their decision". They must "take charge of the game" and not allow players to intimidate you. You must also be very quick to think on your feet, whilst watching the play, keeping up with the players and ensuring rules are adhered to along with codes of conduct for both players, coaches and bystanders.

I take my role as a Referee very seriously and I am proud to hold this accomplishment.

• I have been a Representative Soccer player Since the age of 8 .(U/9, U/10, U/11, U12, U/13 SKILLS AQUISITION PROGRAM and U/14, U/15 NATIONAL PREMIER YOUTH LEAGUE).
• Being selected to represent my area in Soccer involves a great deal of dedicaton, commitment and focus. Since the age 8 I have trained 3 evenings a week and played one game at this representative level.
• I have also been selected to attend the Targeted Sports Program at Endeavour High since year 7 (which is an honour and a privilage).
• Playing in a team at such an intensly high level has allowed me to adapt and perform well under pressure, as well as increasing my ability to work as part of a team.
• I have committed 100% to my training over the course of the past 7 years. Even putting in extra rehabilitation / strength work and physio due to an injury for a year, which I was able to use my determination and resilliance to fight back from Chronic Injury (Osgood Schlatters).
• I pride myself on my encouraging nature and believe in supporting a team to do well.
• I am now at an age whereby I can work on the weekends and start building my skill-set outside of school and soccer.
