Qualified Fitter Turner with extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry, notably with Monadelphous Engineering and MechElec NT. Demonstrated expertise in machining and leading teams, achieving significant milestones in equipment assembly and maintenance. Excel in interpreting technical instructions and driving project completion, by showcasing a blend of technical proficiency and leadership. Am driven to learn new things in industry’s I am unfamiliar with. Trying to relocate to my Partner in Tropical Cairns.
Started my career as a Qualified Fitter and Turner with MechElec NT. Have spent most of my time at the Channel Island Power Station doing a GE TM2500 install. I have also done contracting work for NPE doing Pump servicing and other Pump work/testing using flow charts. I am currently supervising a crew of 5 guys at the Beetaloo Basin drilling/fracking site in Daly Waters (7 hours out of Darwin) for MechElec NT, building 3 tanks for Tambouran Resources alongside Riptide Energy.
I finished my apprenticeship with Monadelphous after they won the Contract at the inpex Onshore LNG processing facility. Where I also spent many months in the machine shop making parts and equipment.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to start my Fitter and Turner apprenticeship in the Oil and Gas industry on the inpex onshore LNG processing facility for Trace JV, where I was involved in 2 major shutdowns (one being a hot gas path inspection on a Frame 7 turbine). I also spent Months at a time in the machine shop making parts and equipment for production.
