I'm 19 and a keen learner with some intermediate knowledge in the construction field. I am familiar with being on site, heights and using power tools as well as strategic thinking to be able to work around problems or inconveniences.
I have a nail bag with all the basic hand tools that was required in my previous work.
As I am studying construction management I am interested in seeing and partaking in the hands on construction of both residential and commercial buildings.
I am available four days a week including Saturdays with my current Uni timetable and would love to start work as soon as possible.
After finishing school I took some time off to travel and work, in this time I worked as a carpenter labourer for Gj Gardener Homes in Renmark, my home town, along with doing half a lap of Australia. I have since moved to Adelaide to start studying Construction Management and therefore looking for work in the building scene again.
At Gj Gardner homes I..
- Did mainly first fix framing for residential jobs
- Worked in both large groups of four or five and just one on one
- Used a variety of power tools and hand tools
- Gained experience in reading plans and understanding building process
- Did a small amount of plastering, bricklaying, concreting and 2nd fix as I was keen to have a look at all fields.
- Communicating effectively with a group
- Confident in frame work and plaster work
- Keen learner and good work ethic
- On site experience with multiple groups
- Experience with power tools
- Ability to work independently
