  • Company Overview: Marinus Link is a $7.7bn transmission project that runs through the heart of Gippsland in Victoria over 90 kilometres between Hazelwood to the north and Waratah Bay to the south where it then crosses the Bass Strait to make landfall at Heybridge, Tasmania.
  • Responsible for the management of the Cables package in Victoria, including working across the cables team and the wider business to ensure that the 90km land cable route is successfully delivered and that any risks, issues or interfaces are effectively managed.
  • Providing direction to the Contractors on the Project requirements ensuring that the key specifications are met on program to the required quality.
  • Ensuring the design and construction of the project meets the health and safety, quality and environmental standards

  • Assigned to manage a significant project with the University delivering a new Integrated Research Administration System to improve research administration and the service to Researchers. The project involved working closely with business stakeholders (the client) to refine and document business processes so that they are simple, efficient and consistent and deliver transformational change within the business. The project also included the delivery of a two significant new IT products into the University software environment. The project value is in excess of $6m which is a major investment for a University.

  • Establishment of a team to deliver the railway sidings and depots program due to the substantial increase in expenditure as part of the Victorian Transport Plan. Building existing relationships with the Department of Transport Project Division (TPD) to establish a team of 30+ project staff to deliver approximately $150m per annum of projects. Projects included train tracks and major civil and structural works, high voltage substations and electrical works, train wash buildings, plant and equipment, driver amenities buildings, train maintenance facilities, mainline signalling, mainline track improvements, station improvements.
  • Maintained collaborative relationships with the client organisation and reported to the Project Steering Committee. Established and maintained relationships with 50+ stakeholders to ensure interfaces across all projects are managed efficiently and access to the rail network achieved with minimum disruption. Superintendent on major construction contracts ($50m+) overseeing commercial performance and negotiating contractual matters.
  • Direct management of Tier 1 contractors constructing new train sidings, including a 6MW substation and an 800 sqm building at Newport.
