Electrical Power Engineering graduate from Curtin University with a PhD on "Dynamic model reduction of power systems integrated with Inverter-Based Resources for stability analysis" from Deakin University. With previous industry experience in thermal power plants, low voltage networks, solar power and grid connections space, I am now part of the Future System Studies team at AEMO, focusing on ensuring the security and reliability of Australia’s power system as we transition to a more sustainable future. My passion lies in tackling the challenges of modern power systems, particularly with the growing integration of renewable energy.
Development of Aggregrated Dynamic Model of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for Stability Studies of Engineering Power Grids.
Lab demonstration and marking for the modules
‘Microgrid Design and Management' & ‘Energy Efficiency and Demand Management.
Design and supervision of Solar projects, low voltage electrical installations, electrical tests, and energy audits.
Operation engineer at ‘Kerawalapitiya’ 300 MW combined cycle power station.
Duties and responsibilities.
• Start-ups and shutdowns of two gas turbines and a steam turbine upon request by the system control center.
• Matching the ‘net load’ of the power plant according to the instructions given by the system control center.
• Ensuring continuous availability of the power plant at full capacity by performing periodic maintenance and quality checks.
• Monitoring trends and alarms in the control room.
• Performing isolation works for maintenance purposes.
• Coordinating emergency procedures.
• Preparation of daily summary and performance reports.
• Supervising the stud re-tensioning program at Pawan Danavi (10.2MW) wind power plant and assuring the quality of its works.
