Volunteer Experience

  • BOYNE/TANNUM HOOK UP, Assisted in setting up stalls, taking into consideration how many people would be attending and their movements. Interacted with the public by handing out flyers and conducting surveys which involved talking to members of the general public and recording their comments so they can be presented to the Boyne/Tannum Hook up committee to help improve the event. In addition, was required to manage a number of stalls with other volunteers which required setting up and taking responsibility of the displays, activities and information in the stalls.
  • BOTANIC TO BRIDGE, Looking after the health and wellbeing of the runners by ensuring they have an ample supply of water and fruit. After the event, I assisted in helping clean up the stall.
  • SENIORS WEEK, As groups we educated the elderly on different modern-day apps along with assisting with simple daily tasks. Participating in this event was very rewarding as it was obvious the seniors enjoyed our company. Attending this event also helped me gain confidence in talking to people.
  • MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL, While volunteering at the multicultural festival my responsibilities was the BSL (Boyne Smelter Limited) souvenir stall. Participated in selling the BSL merchandise, interacting with possible consumers and handling money.
