Cover Letter

To Whom it may concern, I would like to apply for the Payroll Officer Position you currently have advertised. In my current role as Accounts Receivable/Payroll at JCU Dental I am solely responsible for the processing of our Employees pay on a fortnightly basis. This includes the checking of hard copy timesheets, data entry of timesheets into MYOB and then through to the electronic payment of wages. I am also responsible for the entering of new employee information as well as processing Super on a Monthly basis I pride myself on my accuracy and attention to detail in everything I do. I have experience in processing pay adjustments, back pay and reallocating wages to the correct accounts. I understand the importance of ensuring Payroll is correct, not just for the Employees but for the Business as well. In my time in this role I have had to familiarise myself with the relevant awards and be able to communicate these to our staff when required. I have made changes to our payroll to ensure we are compliant with the Award and to do what is best for our Business. With my strong customer service background I am able to build a good rapport with my colleagues and this allows me to be more approachable when Employees may have a concern or question.
