As an excavator operator in the piling industry, I play a key role in supporting foundation drilling operations by carrying out precise and efficient earthworks. My primary responsibility is to maintain site readiness to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted movement of the piling rig. This involves preparing and managing access paths, working platforms, and excavation zones.

Key duties include:

• Performing earthworks to keep the piling rig operational and mobile throughout the site.
• Loading and unloading heavy equipment, including drilling augers and machinery, onto and off of transport trucks and large floats.
• Maintaining and leveling the limestone pads that serve as work platforms to ensure the stability and mobility of the rig.
• Assisting with the installation process by pushing reinforcement cages into pre-drilled holes safely and accurately.

I work closely with site supervisors and drilling crews to coordinate equipment movements, and maintain safety and efficiency across all phases of the piling operation.

As a Demolition Worker specializing in brick reclamation, my role focused on the careful deconstruction of residential buildings to maximize material recovery, particularly bricks for resale. I was responsible for soft-stripping interiors—removing fixtures, fittings, and non-structural elements—before operating heavy machinery to carry out the structural demolition.

Key responsibilities included:

• Conducting soft strip-outs of houses by removing internal materials such as cabinetry, flooring, plaster, and fittings to prepare buildings for structural demolition.
• Operating demolition machinery to carefully dismantle brick structures with precision, minimizing breakage and maximizing salvageable bricks.
• Sorting and stacking reclaimed bricks and materials for transport and resale, ensuring quality and cleanliness of the recovered materials.
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment at the yard using forklifts and telehandlers, managing inventory and maintaining safe, organized storage areas.
