I have been a Trackwork Rider and Stable Foreman with proven expertise in groundwork techniques and a deep empathy for animals for many years. I have excelled in leadership roles at Matthew Smith Racing, and Bjorn Baker Racing, enhancing team efficiency and horse welfare. I have demonstrated problem-solving and time management skills, ensuring optimal training outcomes and equipment maintenance for all racehorses.
During my time in Warwick Farm, I have had the privilege to work for many trainers at the farm. Jason Coyle, Clare Cunningham, Bjorn Baker, Matthew Smith and Gary Portelli are just the some of the trainers. I can work independently and within a team. I love to have a laugh with everyone and have a smile on my face every morning.
I can ride a variety of horses, ranging from different ages and stages of their racing carers. From babies up to course proper grass gallops, to barrier education, to jump outs and taking horses to the beach regularly.
Not only have I been involved in the riding aspect of things, but also in the organization of the tie-up stalls for trackwork daily, the management of the riders with what horses they ride daily and for the work board for each night. Being a Pony rider, Saddling up trackwork and at the races, putting on bandages, giving injections (intramuscular and intravenous), putting on Etrakka pads, all different kinds of headgear, and teaching the first-time swimmers are just some of the things that I can do.
I am always happy to learn new things!
