Summary

I have a been a RM for 10 years and a certified IBCLC for 5 years, and come from an extensive background in applied science and disability care. My experience in all of these areas has helped me strengthen strong relationships with families, community and various health professionals and stakeholders.

I believe my varied experience in work, life and study will enable me to be a strong MCHN. I am also a mother to two wonderful teenagers!

I have focused on outreach and home postnatal care of the mother and the new born, which gives me the clinical skills and confidence to go forth and pursue continued education as a MCHN. I have worked in community environments, with many cultural and linguistically different groups, including Indigenous communities, young mums and mums and families with drug and alcohol issues. I collaborate and work alongside Child Support, Social Work, Enhanced nurses and various other health care professions to ensure optimal care of mothers and babies.
