My role as a team member at Bunnings involves various skills and tasks. As the store was recently established, I assisted the team with the set-up of the store. During this process I gained multiple skills including;

  • Unloading lots of stock onto shelves, in the correct order using planograms and other retail technology
  • Using equipment such as a manual pallet jack and a work assist vehicle, to transport stock around the store.


Along with this, at Bunnings I deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selections and inquiries, maintain stock levels by organising inventory and conducting regular stock checks and constantly collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations and the best customer experience.


Strength and Conditioning Coach

After playing at the Swans Academy for many years, I got the opportunity to give back to the club and work at the Super 24 Series in Coffs Harbour, as the Strength and Conditioning coach for the Under 14 girls. This role accompanied well with my current studies at university. This involved;


  • Working in a highly professional sporting environment, alongside coaches and other experienced staff members
  • Running the players through injury preparation and warm-up before their AFL matches.
  • Ensured the girls were hydrating and fueling their bodies for optimal performance and recovery.
  • Collaborating with coaching staff by delivering messages and controlling rotations of the players during the games.


Development Officer

  • My role as a development officer at the AFL NSW/ACT, involves coaching and delivering AFL after school and during school programs, aiming to develop and teach AFL skills to kids, in order to increase participation into junior and senior AFL clubs.
  • Skills I have developed and consistently engage in include communicating with kids, parents and teachers to ensure a smooth and positive experience at the session.
  • At this job I demonstrate strong interpersonal and problem solving skills when dealing with any potential conflict or problems with kids and/or parents.
  • By being appointed the Program Leader in various sessions, I am responsible for planning and running sessions independently, directing team members, and ensuring sessions run on time and safely.
