As the IMS Manager I have been responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and reporting the Work Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems and to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations, ISO Standards, Federal Safety Commission requirements, relevant Codes of Practice & customer/client requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development, implementation, management, improvement, and reporting on the Integrated Management System, encompassing Work Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality.
  • Identification and management of legal and other compliance requirements, reports, and the administration of changes as required.
  • Informing Senior Management and workers of legislative requirements, regulator alerts, and media releases.
  • The conduction and recording of Internal Auditing of Integrated Management Systems, and assisting in the facilitation, preparation, and corrective actions of external audits.
  • Promotion, awareness, and communication & consultation of the IMS systems.

  • Maintenance and tracking of objectives and targets (performance) across the company and projects, and the reporting of consistencies, inconsistencies, and deficiencies to Senior Management.
  • Management of IMS non-conformance and improvements including corrective and preventative actions.
  • Development and improvement of project-specific Integrated Management Plans (IMP) and all relevant documentation.
  • Completion of audits and inspections across job sites and projects.
  • Review of subcontractor documentation, including SWMS, Plant/Equipment, SDS, and credentials to ensure compliance with Policies and Procedures as well as legislation and other relevant legislative requirements.
  • Development and/or procurement and review in consultation with workers, safety documentation for use on sites, inclusive but not limited to SWMS, SDS, Plant, and Equipment.
  • Management of business assets in association with the established storeman/ maintenance manager.
  • Assisting in the recording, reporting, and investigation of incidents and near misses on sites.
