I am a 3rd year nursing student currently employed as an RAAF nursing undergraduate. I have a background in community services management, primarily aged care and NDIS. I understand the importance of working as a part of a team and value the experience and diversity of those I work with.
My strongest attribute is the ability to be a humble learner. I value the experience of those around me and I am not afraid to admit to a mistake or knowledge deficit. I believe that this is vital to be a successful graduate nurse.
I have wanted to work with West Moreton ever since my placement in Ipswich Community Health. I found that all staff I had contact with were encouraging of learners and feedback from my peers was the same. I believe West Moreton, particularly Ipswich Hospital, will support my growth and provide a positive learning environment.
If given a postgraduate position with West Moreton I will take every opportunity to develop my nursing skills. I will be a reflective learner and ensure that I draw on the knowledge and guidance of my team to deliver safe and effective patient care. Further, I will always endeavour to represent West Moreton positively and align my practices with their values.
I am currently enrolled in my final semester with a credit-distinction average (GPA of 5.36).
