  • Actively supported radiologists during interventional CT-guided procedures by maintaining sterile technique, facilitating real-time image acquisition, and promoting efficient workflow, while liaising directly to ensure rapid turnaround of high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Employed as a full time General and CT Radiographer.
  • Working across branches in Maroochydore and Coolum.
  • I work closely with the radiologists during interventional examinations such as steroid injections using sterile techniques to prepare and assist while also scanning the patient throughout the procedure.
  • Maintaining efficient departmental work flow being able to cannulate the patient prior to the procedure while gaining consent and building rapport.
  • I am able to adapt to a wide range of x-ray and processing equipment.

Equipment: The diagnostic equipment currently being used are the Philips processing system and X-ray unit, AGFA processing system and X-ray unit and Toshiba X-ray unit. DEXA lunar machine, Planmeca OPG machine. Siemens go all and go up CT. COMRAD booking system and Televiewer PACS.

  • Looking after the day to day responsibilities maintaining stock, checking inventory stock and liaising with radiographers on the floor. Co-ordinating and communicating with selective teams.

Work Related Skills

I am confident in using both digital and CR radiographic equipment, PACS, RIS and Comrad Systems. When I am presented with different diagnostic equipment I can competently and effectively learn and adapt.

As a health professional I maintain a high standard of radiographic imaging and efficiency to assist both departmental and the hospital flow. I am able to work under pressure and remain calm and focused on the job that needs to be done. The provision of patient care and confidentiality is always at the forefront of my job and upheld in every situation.
