• Stakeholder management: Engage key stakeholders across the team, division and broader organisation ensuring that beneficial relationships are developed and maintained. Including organising and running meetings to ensure all stakeholders are informed, able to plan and prepare for Occupations.
• Forecast and maximise through effective planning the optimum utilization of all depot facilities, recognising operational constraints.
• Ensure that Rolling stock can meet the TMP and other maintenance requirements (fall overs etc) and deliver sufficient availability to run the timetable during occupations and to recover maintenance tolerances in the period after major occupations
• Select and advise operations units to be locked in/out of occupations
• Co-ordinate with maintenance staff for units parked during occupations to be taken under maintenance control and the hand back at the end of the occupation
• Advise management of opportunities during occupations including potential movement of resources during major occupations
• Forecast and work with stakeholders to achieve optimum financial budgets and plans to support annual budget development.
• Compile KPI reports on a daily, monthly, and annual basis, to support Rolling Stock delivery of internal and Franchise KPIs.
• Continuous improvement; drive the development of business and maintenance management systems, processes, and procedures; highlight and report on areas where improvements to maintenance practices, policies and Quality Assurance can be achieved.
