I commenced my Acting Coordinator Role in September 2019. Aspects of the role include:

  • Database management
  • Oversee screening staff, ensuring adequate staffing, maintaining annual staff competencies, training new staff
  • Monitor NCU babies with complex needs, ensuring risk factors for hearing loss are identified
  • Manage annual device calibration
  • Maintain a high standard of care provision, meeting HH KPI’s
  • I have successfully completed QLD Health Heathy Hearing Audit 2019


2023 has seen many changes including training:

  • 2 EN’s with no previous clinical experience with pregnant or PN women and babies
  • 3 midwife screeners
  • 1 relieving coordinator
  • 1 appointed coordinator from NSW with no experience in the coordinator role or GCUH
  • I have compiled extensive training manuals for screeners and the coordinator role to assist with training
