I started out working with my dad as a bricklayer's laborer, where I learnt a lot of time management skills, how to mix certain ratios of mortar for different jobs and consistencies.
I then progressed on to chose to study VCAL and my chosen topic was horticulture which is where my passions are.
Then I was recruited to the Australian Army, where I worked hard and was promoted to captain over time, I traveled overseas, however in 2020 I retired with an honorable discharge and I am proud to have served my country.
I successfully graduated from certificates II and III
While doing my certificates I was working full time as an apprentice and I worked cohesively with coworkers, supervisors and my assessment manager team leader.
I worked in the council parks and gardens department.
Eventually I finished my apprenticeship and Fulton Hogan transferred me over to the asphalt branch as parks and gardens were being closed down.
I moved on to get my RSA and unfortunately, I had to make the choice to step down and help raise my children my wife and I had so she could study and chase her dreams as well.
However, I have done small residential and commercial jobs between then and now supervising for a family orientated business.
Recently in the past six plus months I have worked for LJ Powell Carpentry which is a very small family orientated business as well, I have learn a lot of new skills in the building industry, framing houses, carpentry skills and much much more.
I am a hard worker and pay attention to detail and I'm always keen to learn new skill sets. I enjoy working with people, and have great communication skills.
