I have been involved with Patient Experience at the Te Whatu Ora (formally ADHB), also independent contract work with both Gymnastics NZ and Greenstone Group Ltd. My previous work experience includes 11 years in the academic environment both administratively and academically, with roles such as Project Manager, Researcher, Lecturer/Teachers Assistant and Administrator (both Office & Medical) and Receptionist.
The tertiary education environment has seen me in a Lecturer or Teacher’s Assistant role engaging with 200+ students focusing on facilitating tutorial sessions, exam facilitation and content delivery. Successes include working with the Auckland Council (Urban Design/pedestrianisation paper); the set-up of more efficient administrative and communicative processes within the administrative role and Project Management roles. Previous roles involve a number of researcher positions within Auckland University of Technology (AUT University) with research outputs upon their conclusion.
Colleagues know me as a highly creative, productive and attentive person who can always be trusted to come up with new and more effective ways to complete tasks. I spend a lot of time understanding existing systems before suggesting ideas to help improve the general operations within the role or project. I can (and often do) work well alone, but I’m at my best collaborating with others.
I have a Master of Health Science (MH Sc – Honours 1st Class) from Auckland University of Technology (AUT University).
I have also embarked on a number of administrative casual contracts while I pursue new opportunities and can be reached either through this profile or by phone at +61 043 446 6609, email: steve.leslie2006@gmail.com.
