The 18th of May Day Mathematical Contest in Modeling, 05/2021-06/2021, Established mathematical model by using the integer programming knowledge and analyzed the fire alarm reliability and equipment failure rate which could help the government choose a more reliable type of fire alarm; Applied MATLAB to find the solution of the mathematical model and select the most suitable parameters for the fire alarm, to reduce the false alarm rate and provide data support for the fire brigade which is closest to the scene of the fire. Finally, Won the second prize award with 5,858 teams participating.
China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, 09/2021-10/2021, Self-studied the relevant knowledge of chemistry, researched the catalyst and temperature conditions for the coupling of ethanol to C4 olefin, and established a mathematical model to explore the effect of different catalyst combinations and temperatures on ethanol conversion and C4 olefin selectivity; Applied MATLAB to find the solution of the mathematical model, found the most suitable catalyst combination and temperature for the coupling of ethanol to C4 olefin, and won the second prize award with 49,529 teams participating.
