I have a large customer service based background with experience in telephony, computer knowledge and an ability to foster relationships. I am able to maintain a clean and organised work space, I am dedicated to providing fantastic customer service experiences and I am eager to learn new skills in all fields.
This role has included both part-time and full-time work. I took on the role as Acting Manager of the store from December of 2022 to August of 2023. I have since gained experience in both managerial and customer service duties, such as:
- Managing a team of part-timers.
- Finding shift covers for ill team members.
- Managing stock flow.
- Cash handling and register reports.
- Daily figures management.
- Clean and tidy working conditions.
- Developed a rapport in the company, becoming known for my high KPI results in the region and fostering relationships with coworkers as well as customers.
- Keeping up-to-date on modern trends to better my customer service experience.
This position was a temporary Christmas Casual role, allowing me to utilise my skills by:
- Maintaining the flow of registers.
- Using a POS system.
- Creating casual conversation with customers.
- Managing sections within the store to maintain them.
- Taking on shifts when others cannot attend.
- Learning to increase my speed when there is heavy foot traffic within the store.
This role was an office position during the period of the National ABS Census. I had a number of responsibilities during this time, such as:
- Maintaining a professional phone manner, with training.
- Attending meetings with the team to discuss how to better our customer service over the phone.
- Ensure all legislative information is thoroughly and accurately outlined to customers.
- Process census applications.
- Navigate computer software (predominantly Microsoft Office functions).
- Adhere to all company procedures.
I worked as a part of a team to ensure all responsibilities of the store were accounted for. Some of my main responsibilities included:
- Operating POS systems.
- Assisting customers across the store.
- Cleaning and maintaining stock fixtures.
- Visual merchandising.
- Reducing or increasing the price of items based on instruction.
- Balancing till at the end of the day.
