I joined Onzo Pizzeria for the summer season 2024, as a second job to supplement my hours at Balcony, as well as gaining experience in a more restaurant orientated environment. Whilst at onzo I worked the bar and floor, serving up to 120 covers on average per night.
I began working at Balcony as a summer job in 2021 before starting full time in the summer of 2022. Over my 3 years at Balcony I worked on the floor and bar and in July 2024 I was made a supervisor, which included opening and closing the restaurant, cashing up the tills and running shifts. At Balcony I would regularly work double shifts which started at 8am for breakfast, running through to lunch and dinner ending at 9pm, finishing as bar around midnight.
I joined Peppers in the summer of 2023 again to supplement my hours at Balcony whilst also gaining experience in a new restaurant. At Peppers we regularly served 100+ customers a night, serving starters, mains and desserts, so cleaning and relaying tables quickly and efficiently was a must as well as having a knowledge of the food and wine we were serving our customers.
Whilst at Tesco I started as a personal shopper, packing groceries for home delivery, before being assigned to the warehouse to sort and load all the shopping onto the allocated vans and finally moving into drive the vans. My shifts at tesco began at 5:30am, but during Covid these shifts started at 3am, 6 days a week.
