My name is Liam, I am a 16 year old boy with 3 years of experience in different customer service based industries including a Café. I have a strong passion for coffee, aviation, and working in a fun environment. I have completed 2 different Barista Courses which have provided me with knowledge and understanding of making high quality coffee and beverages. I strive to provide exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, efficient work environment that contributes to team success.
I enjoy working with new people and seeking out new experiences. My favourite school subjects are Physical Health and Education and Film, as I enjoy both the physical and mental challenges they present. In my spare time, I play volleyball with friends, practicing old skills and learning new ones. Outside of work and school, I love spending time with my dog, Waffles.
Whilst in the technical services crew, I have had to adapt to different working environments and solving different situations. During the events where public are at the venue, I have had to help different people and use customer service skills.
During the Celebration of Entrepreneurship, I had the pleasure of being in charge of my own food stall, I served loaded fries where I had the challenge of making and serving food, this presented multiple obstacles such as multi-tasking, talking to customers and making the food. Throughout this process I had an extremely busy stall and I ran it along with my partner, we developed a system that involved working together in small spaces. Overall, the experience was challenging, extremely rewarding and it taught me things such as cooking and food preparation in a hygienic manner up to restaurant standard. Other skills learnt included customer service and handling money.
During the Celebration of Entrepreneurship at Somerset College, most staff complimented us on our presentation and Health in safety within our food stall. They explained that we showed outstanding cleanliness and organization as well as our ability to minimize any risks that were given. When it came to the product, most customers and staff said that the presentation of our food, loaded fries, were always maintained to the high standard we had set.
