Company Manager - Some examples of my roles, responsibilities and achievements within this role include:

• Overseeing large commercial projects as well as smaller residential projects.
• Extracting all necessary measurements and information via detailed drawings and the scope of works in regards to carpentry works that needed to be carried out on site and implementing them onto excel spreadsheets ready for pricing.
• Collaborating with site management, surveyors and architects ensuring the quality standards are being met as well as the deadlines.
• Providing the contractor with regular quality of works evidence.
• Maintaining photo evidence and installation trackers of all fire rated doors installed on all sites as they will all need to be provided to the contractor/client at the end of the project, as well as regular site inspections ensuring all doors meet the British Standard regulations. For example the correct regulations are being met in regards to the fire rating of the door and/or if the door is smoke rated, the correct fire stopping is being used in accordance to the manufacturers installation guide.
• I would attend site regularly to access general carpentry works, making a list of any snags if required.
• Making sure all carpenters on all our projects had all necessary fixings and tools to carry out the required works.
• Attending regular site meetings ensuring the works are being carried out in accordance to what was agreed.
• As a company we worked with some of the leading contractors in the UK including Kier, Higgin's, HG Construction and many more. One of the many big achievements that stands out for me is working on the Silverstone Escapade F1 track carrying out all carpentry works which we finished last year.

Carpenter - In-addition to being the manager of the company I am also a fully qualified carpenter holding my Level 2 Site Crapentry NVQ. Whilst working on site I would carry out all aspects of carpentry ranging from first fix, second fix to finals. Examples consist of:

First fix -

• Erection of roof trusses
• Erection of any stud walls and general timber framework
• Installation of joists /subfloor
• Installation of stair cases

Second fix -

• Installation of doors /architraves
• Installation of skirting
• Installation of any shelving /boxing in using MDF
• Installation of timber /laminate flooring
• Other general carpentry items including the installation of curtain battens and window boards

Finals -

• The fitting of all door ironmongery including intumescent strips
• Installation of bath /shower screens
• Installation of bathroom wall units, toilet roll holders etc
