  • • I went to New Zealand for a year on a Working Holiday Visa. I worked at the Wellington City office at first and later on I was relocated to the Queenstown Airport office. At Apex I was responsible for new bookings, administration and front office duties. I would prepare the rental documents for our clients and welcome them as they came to collect the rental car. I would go through all the important insurance information with them and show them around the rental car. As Apex was working with different locations, I was often relocating cars between the different offices. Another big task was handling car accidents of our customers, which happened quite frequently. I was filling out insurance claims and making sure everything was sorted.

  • This internship was during the COVID pandemic. One of the main tasks was to rebook and cancel holidays for our clients and trying to find out where they could still travel to. I was constantly on the phone with clients, travel agencies and the flight center. As it was a hard time for the tourism industry, I did learn a lot during this difficult period as there was a lot of work to be done.
