NEM Reform Program Architecture and Governance Lead

Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO)

• Designed, operationalized and current chair of the Business Architecture and Technology Architecture governance forums for the NEM Reform Program.
• Standing member of the Change Control Advisory Board providing architectural governance for in-flight projects on the NEM Reform Program.
• Architectural oversight to ensure NEM Reform project solution architectures remain aligned with the AEMO Future State Architecture and adhere to architectural guardrails and strategic roadmaps.

Lead Architect – Renewables Trading Platform

• Delivered a technology capability assessment on a Renewables Trading Platform, and designed a technology roadmap and blueprint to uplift the Renewables trading capability.

Delivery Lead - Data & Analytics Platform

Alinta Energy

• Led a multi-functional team to design and deliver an Azure-hosted Data & Analytics platform with data science and self-serve reporting capabilities

• Chaired the Architecture Review Board responsible for project governance, technical assurance and compliance with strategy, architecture roadmaps and policies for CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy

• Led the Architecture operating model transformation to improve governance across CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy portfolio of projects and the realization of business value.
• Defined the future state architecture and transformation roadmap for CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy’s major application suites to align with IT and Corporate strategy, process/capability improvements, uplift of technology capabilities, and optimization of technology platforms for efficiency and technical debt reduction.
• Key contributor to the annual capital planning process, with continuous engagement with Business Unit GMs, stakeholders and product managers.
• Setup and operationalized the Architecture Community of Practice to share knowledge, and provide coaching and mentoring across the architecture community
• Engaged with external parties, vendors and industry working groups, to stay abreast with new technologies that drive change and innovation, and market/industry changes.

• Established and maintained the enterprise architecture and associated artefacts within the applications domain.
• Standing member of the Architecture Review Board, maintained oversight and led the review and analysis of application components of projects to ensure alignment of business mission and processes to IT and corporate strategy.
• Engaged with business stakeholders and projects for business case development, business requirements gathering and the development of robust business solutions.
• Governance of projects and operational activities across United Energy and Multinet Gas.
• Contributed to IT Strategy and Planning activities in application, technology and market direction, and provided support for regulatory submissions (EDPR and GAAR).

• Defined Conversion Strategy & Approach and developed high level project plan with timelines and resource plans.
• Led the Conversion team comprised of onshore and offshore SAP functional, technical and Basis resources.
• Planned and executed all conversion activities (design, build, test, data cleanse, data validation) for Trial Conversions and Dress Rehearsals leading up to cutover.

Multi-year Transformation Program for Jemena, United Energy and Multinet Gas.

Senior Solutions Architect (Jemena Customer & Outage Management Systems)

• Architected and designed the Jemena Gas and Multinet Gas SAP IS-U solutions to support key operational processes across SAP while integrating with internal and external systems (e.g. Outage Management System, Business Warehouse, FRCHub, retailers, etc)

Senior Solutions Architect (Jemena Works & Asset Management)

• Architected, designed and implemented the SAP ECC Batch to support Works and Asset Management operational processes in Finance (AP/AR), HR/Payroll, Project Systems, Asset Management, including the interfaces between SAP and external parties (e.g. banks, service providers, etc)
• Coordinated and led a team comprised of SAP functional/technical, webMethods and Control-M consultants to successfully deliver a fully automated Batch.

Business Engagement Lead (Jemena Electricity Distribution Portal Project)

• Architected and optimized the real-time interfaces between the Electricity Distribution Portal and SAP for Inquiry, Quote and Invoice processes in Electricity Connections.
• Key liaison between the project and business stakeholders, planning and managing communications and executing business readiness activities ahead of the web-based Electricity Distribution Portal rollout.

SAP Solutions Architect (JSAP Relocation Project)

• Led the re-architect, design and migration of Jemena SAP ECC Batch when transitioning managed services from Singapore Power to Jemena IT.

SAP IS-U Finance Lead (Jemena Complex Metering Project)

• Led the Finance team in designing and delivering the SAP IS-U Finance solution to bill and invoice Commercial & Industrial (complex) meters.
