My name is Lily, and I am delighted to be applying for the advertised position of part time retail assistant at My Jewellers. I am a trustworthy, reliable and hardworking individual that is committed to being an asset to any business I work for. I am punctual, well spoken and maintain poise in even the most trying situations. I am known for my warm and welcoming approach and I am passionate about providing a very personal and unforgettable customer service experience resulting in repeat custom. I have always loved Jewellery, and I enjoy adorning myself with special pieces that reflect my personal style and I am thrilled to assist our customers in doing the same and finding pieces they will cherish for years to come. I am very excited to be entering this field and eager to jump in and learn. In 2022, I completed a Crystallography course under Gemmologist Stacey Lim of the FGAA. Thus, I have an in-depth understanding of Gemstones from a scientific perspective, down to their atomic structure. I’m also well versed in concepts such as mineralogically correct names vs gemstone trade names, natural vs heat treated or lab grown gems and an understanding of where particular minerals are commonly found and mined, geographically. In response to the advertised position; I’ve been working in retail at Glow Cosmetics since 2021 and compounded with over a decade experience in hospitality, my customer service is second to none. Additionally, I am experienced in advertising on Social Media and I currently manage the Social Media platforms for Rialto Restaurant, Vino Bar and Bayviews Restaurant. I am very creative and like to use Canva to create posts, stories and reels. I believe I will be a great asset to your team.
