Responsible for all temperature checks on all staff, visitors, delivery drivers etc to the site and collating all information including number plates, times of entry and exit. Directing all visitors, deliveries etc whilst simultaneously liaising with the site manager and director. I was responsible for the daily update of the site map, which was essential due to groundwork being done

The site locations and updates were changing on a daily basis, so attending of daily meetings was paramount.

I was responsible for the hand over to night security, locking up of site and buildings.

  • I was responsible for the administrative duties, bookings, maintenance and the general running of the centre. I answered all calls, acted as receptionist for all enquiries, responsible for the maintenance of the centre including community land, playgrounds etc land which included i.e. grass cutting updating equipment. I supervised cleaning duties, I ordered all stock from stationery to plates needed in the kitchen. I took minutes at monthly meetings, and undertook all requests from Trustees. I liaised with Parish Council regarding issues in the village. I built and maintained the website adding and was responsible for all marketing. I provided health and safety assessments making sure fire extinguishers, alarms, electrical items were assessed regularly.
  • Produced monthly administration reports and a monthly financial reports for the community café
  • I was responsible for reconciling the weekly café cash intake, banking, filing etc and purchasing of equipment required by the café.
  • I was responsible for the all accounts work undertaken for the centre i.e invoicing, credit notes, account details etc using sage. Sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control.
  • I created an organised filing system both manual and electronic.
  • I organised the annual Christmas Fayre fundraising event and other events as and when required (as decided by the Trustees). I open up the centre early when required and attend events when required (voluntary basis).

  • During this time we relocated from Australia to Suffolk to be close to my elderly parents who have now moved into assisted accommodated. I helped them with all aspects of their move and their health problems. During this time I also helped my husband set up his Carpentry business.
