Providing care to patients transferred to Adelaide from rural and remote settings, ensuring a holistic, patient-centred care approach is maintained. Patient care needs to include adherence to In-patient treatment orders, and communication with family and the allied health care team, to implement health care strategies, and stabilize acute crises and rehabilitation. This experience has enabled me to nurse patients on an acute ward and a high-dependency unit.

Through this experience, I was able to gain a valid consolidation of mental health nursing. Working at large teaching hospitals gaining effective skills always incorporating best evidence-based practice.

Nursing patients in their homes enabled me to follow patients upon discharge ensuring that effective assessment skills were practiced and risk assessments were continually reviewed.

Working at a large teaching hospital in the South Island of New Zealand. I was responsible for nursing patients in a variety of specialties including; Oncology, Plastics, Urology, Intensive

Care and the Emergency Department.

I worked as a Senior Nurse in an inner-city area of Manchester, nursing patients with general and mental health conditions. In addition, working autonomously, as well as working as part of the Multidisciplinary team. Working as an advocate for patients in their own homes.
