  • Collaborated with the counselling team, graphic designer and youth committee members to design and publish a video animation used to raise awareness of Wyndham Youth Services Counselling services and increase client referrals.
  • Initiated removal of technology in youth centre, replacing PlayStation and tv with board games and activities. This initiative saw a significant increase in conversation and communication amongst peers and staff.

Community Development Officer

  • Built relationships with three neighbouring shires to create the first regional alliance of Community Development and Social Inclusion Officers. Coordinated fortnightly meetings across Northern Victoria where knowledge sharing and implementing links and opportunities for residents, community groups and council was implemented.
  • Successfully applied for 150k Engage! Grant for 2018-2021.
  • Managed grant funding and council budgets in adherence with strict guidelines and policies.
  • Collaborated with Grampians Community Health and Council to implement the first White Ribbon day March and Fundraiser within Northern Grampians Shire.
  • Worked in partnership with the Youth Action Council to implement the first Colour Festival in Northern Grampians Shire resulting in the largest family attended community event in past ten years.
  • Partnered with One Music production Agency to bring Justice Crew Concert to Northern Grampians, Creating more than 20 exciting volunteering roles for residents.
  • Worked with libraries to successfully host the Victorian libraries Slam poetry event in Stawell. An inclusive event for our diverse residents providing a professional and creative platform for poetry.
  • Participated in the St Arnaud Learning alliance, worked alongside police officers, teachers, principals and youth workers to analyse community trends and form action plans aimed at minimizing risk taking behaviour and increasing community cohesion and learning outcomes.
  • Worked in partnership with Grampians Music festival, Youth Action Council, Hey Grant and Council to create the shires first GMF Event mentoring program for young adults.
  • Explored opportunities to increase healthy recreational choices and increase leisure centre activity. Introduced inflatable equipment to Leisure centres which saw an uptake in membership, resulting in healthier lifestyle choices and family cohesion.
  • Support the Youth Action Council to plan and implement successful community events for young people aged 12-25.
  • Supported the Maternal Child Health and Kindergarten Officer to implement healthy social programs and activities for children and families across shire.
  • Analysing and redefining the Community Development Officer role.
  • Provide valuable input in establishing KPI’s to measure and report on performance.
