Design and Implementation of Driver Fatigue Detection System Based on Face Recognition Role: Developer and Tester

  • Completed literature analysis, requirements analysis, functional module division, system design, unit testing, and system testing
  • Implemented fatigue detection through facial feature point extraction
  • Addressed challenges of head movement (such as head lowering) that prevented facial feature extraction and low-light conditions at night that hindered face recognition

  • Applied local adaptive binarization for image processing to resolve low-light issues during nighttime
  • Achieved extremely high detection accuracy after implementing these two methods
  • Developed a fatigue driving detection system with high accuracy, robustness, real-time performance, accurate detection in both daytime and nighttime conditions
