Lok Yin (Shirley) Chan

Melbourne

Summary

A recent graduate of the University of Melbourne pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and specialising in TESOL. I have five and a half years of experience designing and implementing early literacy and STEAM-based engagement activities and programs for children under 12 and their families. By applying the most appropriate pedagogy, I have effectively fostered children’s literacy development and developed a genuine interest in reading. I'm well-versed in the inner workings of various institutes, including schools, tuition centres and NGOs, ensuring high-quality customer service and maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment. Driven by an enthusiastic, creative and collaborative spirit, I am deeply passionate about delivering expectational children’s educational activities tailored to their unique needs. It would be an honour for me to contribute as a Children and Families Engagement Officer, and I believe that my skill set, experiences, and achievements make me a strong candidate for the role.
