SOTA, rebranded ORA in 2014, was the annual event for the Snow & Outdoor Trade Association.
The event was unfortunately closed following COVID.
The role encompassed managing the event on behalf of an association, industry committee and reporting into a NFP. Over 12 years of management, this included event planning, customer relationship building, marketing, event operations, contractor management, contract negotiation, budgeting, reporting, rebranding and relocation.
Through the successful acquisition of Waste Expo Australia, my role as Project Director involved managing a smooth transitioning of the event to RX (Reed Exhibitions) including event team management, budgeting, reporting and successfully establishing the event to grow and thrive under new ownership. Waste Expo Australia continues to thrive today.
Role highlights include event conceptualization, research and planning, customer relationship development, team management and working through the extensive acquisition process.
Having conceptualized, launched and developed Integrate for 3 successful years, Diversified Exhibitions acquired the event in 2011.
Following acquisition my role moved from Director to Consultant, working to handover and set-up the event within the new team. Integrate has continued to grow and is well established as a must attend event on the audio visual industry events calendar.
Working with local and Indian trade embassies, our team successfully delivered the Brand India exhibition and seminar program to Australia.
Services included end-to-end event management - Event concept and planning, visitor marketing, seminar program development and execution, exhibitor support services from travel to F&B and all aspects of event, customer relations and operational management
Responsible for planning and successfully launching and managing Integrate exhibition and conference, including negotiating and managing a successful partnership with InfoComm International and in 2011, negotiating and managing the sale of the event to Diversified Exhibitions Australia.
A 12-month contract role based in Singapore, this role was responsible for the launch of PALA India exhibition held in Mumbai.
As Event Director the role included all aspects of event management, client relationship building and team management across several countries.
