  • The role was primarily to ensure the safety and presentation of the hotel and property with a welcoming and cordial environment requiring a pleasant, positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Strong communication, rapport building and quick problem solving skills.

Duties consisted of but not limited to:

  • Guest Services - available to assist with online pre check-in process on arrival when necessary, room-service and attend to guests needs and complaints, resolve problems, and vacate guests or unwanted visitors when required.
  • Proven experience in similar roles - student and customer services, retail and hospitality, housekeeping and laundry, housecleaning.
  • Able to assist in all areas of the business - front of house, kitchen/restaurant assistance, laundry service, housekeeping, clean common areas, and yard maintenance. Liaise and assist with any tradesmen or delivery of services and products. After hours assistance between 6pm and 8am, lockouts and any emergency call outs. On-call overnight. Assist with fire alarm and vacating guests, and assisting fire brigade, ambulance and police services. Scheduled security walk around of building, yard of an evening.
  • Performed minor repairs and maintenance - replace batteries and room/door locks, attend to tv and ac issues, battery and lightbulbs replacement, curtains and rod maintenance and resolve shower and toilet problems. Yard and pool.

Assisted with Caretaking at both Pegasus and Hamilton Brisbane Airport Hotels, Hamilton for 8 months.
